International Policy Important Information Before You Inquire
Thank you for your interest in PureJewel Maine Coon.
This page explains important information for international families before making an inquiry.
Please read it carefully before contacting us.
1. Pet Home Only
Our cats are sold as pets only.
Breeding is prohibited.
Our priority is to place each cat in a loving and responsible lifelong home.
2. Pedigree Information
Pedigree certificates issued by our cattery are ICC (International Cat Club, Japan) pedigrees.
They are issued under a Japanese domestic registry system and may not be accepted or recognized by TICA, CFA, or WCF.
Please understand this point before making an inquiry.
3. Purchase Price & Currency
Prices for international families may differ from domestic placements.
The total cost may vary depending on the destination country, transport arrangements, export documents, health requirements, and other country-specific procedures.
All payments shall be made in Japanese Yen (JPY).
The final amount will be determined and fixed in Japanese Yen (JPY).
4. Payment Method for Transport Purchases
If the purchase involves transportation, payment shall be made by bank transfer to a bank account in Japan only.
PayPal and similar payment services are not accepted.
5. Deposit, Reservation Confirmation, Cancellation, Refunds, Returns, and Replacement
A deposit of 30% of the cat price is required in order to reserve a cat.
The reservation is confirmed upon receipt of the deposit.
After the reservation has been confirmed, we may stop accepting other inquiries for that cat and begin preparations and arrangements.
Therefore, no cancellation, refund, return, or replacement of the cat will be accepted under any circumstances after confirmation.
The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
All payments are final and non-refundable.
6. Transportation, Agent Fees, Route, and Risk
If you reside outside Japan and the cat is transported by international cargo or similar arrangements, all transportation costs and all agent fees arranged in Japan are separate from the cat price and shall be paid by the buyer.
If an agent is required in the destination country, the buyer must arrange and pay for that agent at their own responsibility and expense.
As a general rule, we only arrange transportation from Japan to an airport that can be reached by a direct flight without transit or connecting flights.
This policy is based on consideration for the cat’s physical condition, stress, and overall welfare during transport.
Transportation-related trouble, delay, accident, and changes in the cat’s physical condition are unpredictable.
The seller shall bear no responsibility, provide no compensation, and accept no claims under any circumstances.
7. Health Condition
The cat is healthy at the time of departure.
The seller is not liable after handover.
The seller is not liable for illness, injury, or death, including during transport.
8. No Death-on-Arrival Guarantee
We do not offer a death-on-arrival guarantee for international transport.
Please inquire only if you fully understand and accept this point.
9. Timing and Availability
International placement may be possible depending on the destination country, season, airline availability, health requirements, and export timing.
Not every cat can be exported at every time, and arrangements may take time depending on the circumstances.
10. Inquiry Method
International inquiries are welcome by message only.
Please contact us by WhatsApp message or Instagram DM.
Phone calls and video calls are not available.
When contacting us, please let us know:
・Your country
・Which cat you are interested in

11. Language Requirement for In-Person Visits in Japan
If you reside in Japan and visit our cattery in person, you must be able to communicate in Japanese.
If you are not able to communicate in Japanese, you must be accompanied by an interpreter.
This is required in order to avoid misunderstandings in important explanations and communication.
12. Rehoming
The seller will not be involved in rehoming decisions or outcomes.
13. Final Placement Decision
We value thoughtful and responsible placements rather than quick transactions.
If we feel that the placement is not the right match for the cat’s future, we may decline the sale.
Our decisions are made with the cat’s lifelong wellbeing as the highest priority.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This transaction is conducted as an international sale.
It shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo courts.
15. Contract for Transport Reservations
If the reservation involves transportation, the sales agreement will be provided as a PDF file by message.
The buyer is required to sign the agreement and return the signed PDF by message.
Please understand that the contract will be handled digitally rather than by postal mail.
