Language Requirement for In-Person Visits in Japan

If you reside in Japan and visit our cattery in person, you must be able to communicate in Japanese.
If you are not able to communicate in Japanese, you must be accompanied by an interpreter.
This is required in order to avoid misunderstandings in important explanations and communication.

Step01

InquiryContact

Viewing Appointment

  • If you find a kitten you are interested in on our website or other pages, please feel free to contact us by email or via our official contact channel.
All visits are strictly by appointment only.
Please contact us in advance to arrange a viewing date.

When making an inquiry, please let us know which kitten you would like to meet in advance.
We allow viewings of up to two kittens per family.
We may not be able to accommodate same-day changes if the kittens were not specified beforehand.

As part of our infection-control measures, we kindly ask that visits be kept to a small number of people.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please note that an inquiry does not mean that a reservation has been confirmed.
We do not accept reservations by email or verbal agreement alone.
A kitten is considered officially reserved only after the reservation deposit has been received.
If we feel uncertain about whether our cattery philosophy is understood, or if we believe it may be difficult to build a relationship of trust, we may respectfully decline the transaction.
Because our cats are raised in a private home environment, visits are limited to those who are genuinely considering welcoming a kitten.

Our View on Visits

At PureJewel, the welfare of our cats comes first.
We set our viewing rules, hygiene standards, and breeding practices with reference to principles of feline welfare, including those published by International Cat Care (iCatCare).

We believe a visit is not entertainment before purchase, but an opportunity to confirm whether the match is right while protecting the cats’ wellbeing.

For that reason, we place greater importance on infection control, reducing stress for the cats, and breeding ethics than on visitor convenience or freedom.
To protect the cats, we may apply limits on the number of visitors, hygiene protocols, and physical contact.
Interaction is always guided by the cat’s own response, and is allowed only when the cat appears comfortable and secure.

Step02

ViewingViewing

Meeting the Kitten

  • We ask all visitors to sanitize their hands before meeting the kittens.
We do everything we reasonably can to maintain hygiene and manage the kittens’ health, but like people, cats are living beings, and we cannot guarantee a kitten who will never become ill or injured.
Please understand that, in addition to the kitten’s purchase price, daily care costs and veterinary expenses are a natural part of life with a cat.
If a kitten shows any concerning symptoms while in our care, we will promptly consult our regular veterinarian and arrange any necessary treatment.
We can also provide information about pet insurance that may begin on the day of handover.
Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.

To protect the health of our kittens, we kindly ask that you do not visit other catteries on the same day and that you do not stop at a pet shop before visiting us.

Step03

Agreement and ReservationAdoption Guidance

Reservation and Contract

  • Once you have decided which kitten you would like to welcome, we will ask you to review the sales agreement carefully and sign it only after you are fully satisfied with its contents.
If the kitten will be picked up at a later date, a reservation deposit of JPY 50,000 is required, and the kitten will be considered reserved once the deposit has been received.
If you take the kitten home on the same day, full payment is required at that time.
If a cancellation is made for the buyer’s personal reasons after reservation, it cannot be accepted.
If we must cancel for reasons on our side, the full amount paid will be refunded.

As required by the legal revision that came into effect on June 1, 2022, the owner registration for the microchip must be completed.
The registration fee is JPY 400, and a credit card is required.
If you do not have a credit card, please consult us in advance.

Kitten HandoverKitten Transfer

Beginning Life Together

  • At last, life with your kitten begins.
On the day of handover, we will explain the following. Please feel free to ask any additional questions you may have.

    ・Vaccination certificate
    ・Feeding guidance
    ・Toilet training guidance
    ・Pedigree certificate information
    ・Pet insurance information
・Confirmation of the kitten’s health and current condition together with you

Please be sure to bring a carrier for taking the kitten home.
If the kitten was reserved in advance, the remaining balance must be paid at the time of handover.

If payment cannot be confirmed, we will not be able to complete the handover.

Important Guidance for Life with Your New KittenEssential Guidelines for Life with Your New Kitten

Cats are highly sensitive to changes in environment, and kittens are especially delicate both physically and emotionally.
Stress from travel, a new home, seasonal heat or cold, and even unfamiliar household sounds can affect them.
Being separated from their mother and littermates and entering a new environment can make kittens more vulnerable to stress and temporary health changes.
It is natural to want to interact with your new kitten right away, but please avoid forcing attention on a kitten who may still feel uncertain in an unfamiliar environment.
After handover, we kindly ask you to observe your kitten’s condition especially carefully.
Kittens are curious and active, and some may jump from high places or show interest in electrical cords and other hazards.
Many accidents can be prevented by preparing your living space in advance from the kitten’s point of view.
We sincerely hope for your kitten’s healthy and happy growth.
